Watching Paint Dry

Right now I am working on a couple projects and experimenting with acrylics and glass/Plexiglass. A friend wanted a piece similar to "Neoplasm" and it is almost done. I etch on one side of the Plexiglass or draw on glass with a fountain pen and then do washed of acrylic on the other side. It is taking longer than I thought because the white separated out of the magenta when it was drying and I didn't like the effect; I scrubbed it off and started over. Another problem I had was because of gravity and an un-level drying surface. Not wanting to cover my floor in pieces of glass covered in soupy paint I did what I thought was logical and placed them on my little table in my room. Oh was I wrong. The washes of paint drifted making a lovely mess. So in the meantime I am literally watching puddles of paint dry layer by layer.
