Whenever I go on a walk or hike, I bring my camera or phone with me. Which sometimes can cause the hike to be much longer than it needs to be. Because apparently, I need to take a picture of every single mushroom, specimen of lichen, or plant I see. This also makes going through the photos and trying to remember where they were taken a bit difficult because I sometimes forget to step back and look at the big picture in front of me. I guess you could say I am obsessed with the teeny tiny textures of this majestic world we often miss out on. I keep the artist Georgia O’Keeffe in mind when I am shooting as I love how objects become abstract the more you zoom in. Generally, I am just taking pictures for inspiration photos for my other art. However, I thought it would be nice to share these with you guys.
